Dupa un update la WordPress 3.5 orice era cu “box” (Lightbox, Fancybox s.a.m.d) s-a trasnformat in FUBAR BOX.

Prin urmare, cei care folosesc Lightbox sau asemanatoare, inainte de upgrade recomand calduros un backup la baza de date si folderul unde va tineti instalat WordPress-ul. Eu nu am mai avut rabdare sa-l bricolez asa ca am revenit la versiunea anterioara. Cu tema “Twentyeleven” mergea dar sunt sigur ca nu toti avem tema cu care iese acum wordpress out of the fubarbox, alte teme nu am incercat.

In forumurile de suport de pe wordpress nu gasesti mare branza, cauza cred eu este “imbunatatirea” adusa media library-ului…

Se pare ca dupa ce iti faci update la ultima versiune de Firefox, adica 5, Yahoo Mail crede ca ai cel mai vechi browser din lume. Asadar dupa upgrade Yahoo Mail nu mai merge, imi recomanda sa imi schimb zona (probabl ca vor sa nu mai mearga nici mailul de pe androidu’ lu peste).

Prin urmare, daca folositi Yahoo Mail si faceti upgrade la Firefox 5.0, cucu mail de la yahoo :))

Eroarea arata sexy, de fapt nu e nici o eroare 🙂 mai mult o urare de bine, pentru consumatorul de Yahoo Mail, care pare-se ca se ineaca ca tiganu’ la mal!

Evident click pe “automatic upgrade” ca am backup 😀

Printre imbunatatiri:
1. Global undo/”trash” feature, which means that if you accidentally delete a post or comment you can bring it back from the grave…
2. Built-in image editor allows you to crop, edit, rotate, flip, and scale your images to show them who’s boss. This is the first wave of our many planned media-handling improvements.
3. Batch plugin update and compatibility checking, which means you can update 10 plugins at once, versus having to do multiple clicks for each one…
4. Easier video embeds that allow you to just paste a URL on its own line and have it magically turn it into the proper embed code, with Oembed support for YouTube, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, Flickr, Hulu, Viddler, Qik, Revision3, Scribd, Google Video, Photobucket, PollDaddy, and WordPress.tv (and more in the next release).

WordPress 2.8.4: Security Release: Yesterday a vulnerability was discovered: a specially crafted URL could be requested that would allow an attacker to bypass a security check to verify a user requested a password reset. As a result, the first account without a key in the database (usually the admin account) would have its password reset and a new password would be emailed to the account owner. This doesn’t allow remote access, but it is very annoying. We fixed this problem last night and have been testing the fixes and looking for other problems since then.

Nu am primit pana acum nici un email care sa imi confirme bug-ul de securitate din 2.8.3. Chiar discutam cu Razvan azi de dimineata de releasurile prea dese ale WordPress-ului, dar mai bine mai des daca este vorba de security release. Chiar si piticu a simtit morcovu :)) hacherului dornic sa… profite de o mizerie de bug!
